New bar will be a favourite this summer

From harbourside spots to kick back with a cocktail, to rooftops perfect for spending an afternoon with a brew in hand, here’s some of the best jaunts to keep you (responsibly) hydrated this summer.

PATRÓN POP-UP BAR AT THE MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART (MCA)

New bar will be a favourite this summer

When: Open from 4pm-10pm Wednesday to Sunday until Sunday, February 16

Where: Museum of Contemporary Art, 140 George Street, The Rocks NSW 2000

Forget heading to the busy shores of Bondi, because this new little addition to Circular Quay on Sydney’s harbour has all your waterfront cocktail sitting desires sorted.

The Museum of Contemporary Art teamed up with tequila brand Patrón to launch this lush summer pop-up bar.

If combining art with alcohol is your kind of vibe, this new bar in Circular Quay is for you.
A range of signature cocktails and shareable jugs will be on offer

The bar is a combination of art, culture and tequila — with a range of signature cocktails and shareable jugs on offer. On arrival, visitors will be seated on the ground floor terrace of the MCA building, which has been tastefully transformed in to an garden-inspired bar with plenty of greenery, whicker chairs and refurbished tequila barrel tables.

The bar has a garden-inspired theme.
There will be various cocktails and shareable jugs on offer.

Circular Quay boasts one of the best views of the harbour, including the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

And if you’re after a bite to eat with your margarita – you’re in luck. Alongside live DJ sets, and bottle art on Sundays, the bar will be serving Mexican dishes — such as margarita-spiced popcorn and chilli lime peanuts, or the Nixtamal tortilla tostadas — from Culinary Edge catering all summer long.

COOGEE WINE ROOM, COOGEE

When: Open Thursday to Sunday from midday, and from 3pm Monday to Wednesday

Where: 222 Coogee Bay Rd, Coogee NSW

This little Euro-inspired hideaway in the thick of Coogee is owned by locals Tom Hardwick and Michelle Morales. The Coogee Wine Room has a mega list of more than 400 bottles. The best bit, though, is that more than 25 of them are offered by the glass or, keeping in tune with the Euro-theme, half-bottles.

The two-storey bar has more than 400 bottles of wine on offer.
The Coogee wine room is a moody addition to the eastern suburbs.

Some of the standouts for non-alcoholic beverages include the Voyager Estate grape juice and a Martini made with alcohol-free spirit Seedlip Spice.

But while this two-storey ‘wine bar’ oozes industrial glamour (think polished-concrete floors and exposed-brick walls) don’t let the moody vibe deter you from visiting straight from the beach – sandy feel and all.

The wine bar offers ‘by the glass’ and even half bottles.
The menu has a Mediterranean theme perfect for a bite after the beach.

“We have always had this vision that you’d be able to come off the beach after your swim and have a bottle of rosé,” Mr Hardwick told Broadsheet.

BAR TOTTI’S IN THE CBD

When: New venue to open in the CBD in Decemberคำพูดจาก สล็อตเว็บตรง. Bondi location at the Royal Hotel open from 11.30am daily.

Where: Bar Totti’s on Palings Lane, Sydney

Since opening the first Totti’s in December last year, the popular Italian eatery and bar has had people travelling across the city to Bondi to eat their famous puffy bread.

It’s fermented for 48 hours and cooked to order for two minutes in a woodfire oven. Offering a bite of heaven when paired with their ricotta, house-made salami and chicken-liver parfait – the popularity has pushed Merivale to launch a second Totti’s in the city’s CBD.

Set to open in December (just in time of the silly season), Merivale’s Bar Totti’s has been built around the concept of sharing food and good drinks.

Hemmes said the new venue will have a similar feel to The Royal in Bondi (where the first one launched) dishing up relaxed Italian fare and drinks menu.

Owner Justin Hemmes said the new Bar Totti’s will have a similar feel to the Bondi location.
Totti’s serves a fun twist on Italian fare.

The menu and fit-out will be consistent with the original Totti’s at the Royal, with Mike Eggert overseeing the kitchens.
